Ballyshannon Street Carnival

Carnival Ballyshannon is run in association with the Donegal Bay and Bluestacks Festival of Events and takes place in October of each year.

The Carnival features many locals as well as visiting groups.

Carnival Ballyshannon is a kaleidoscope of colour and sound and has now become part of the annual calendar of events in Ballyshannon.

Take a “Ballytour” to discover the colourful history of Ballyshannon, one of Ireland's oldest towns.

Each walking tour is led by a character from Ballyshannon's past. Travel through time to meet historical figures from Ballyshannon' s distant and not so distant past. Meet and interact with ghosts of the past... they will share their tales of dark deeds, incidents and escapades.

With its mix of history, drama, humour and period characters, “Ballytour” will prove to be informative and entertaining for all ages.
