The Cashelard area is well suited to visitors who enjoy the great outdoors. Walkers can enjoy the quiet lanes, bog tracks and hillsides. Breesy Hill dominates the skyline of Cashelard and from its summit views of counties Donegal, Tryone, Fermanagh, Leitrim and Sligo can be enjoyed. Cashelard Communtiy Development Association organise a three day Rambling Festival every June and as part of the festival they have revived the old tradition of climbing Breesy hill on " Breesy Sunday". Everyone both young and old are encouraged to join and be a part of this enjoyable event!

In and around Cashelard is a cyclists dream with quiet back roads and for the more adventurous bog tracks and forest trails will present a challenge. The Donegal section of the Kingfisher Trail, a signposted cycle trail of counties Fermanagh, Cavan and Leitrim, passes through Cashelard en route for Rossnowlagh and Ballyshannon. Anglers come from far and wide to sample the sport on Cashelard's lakes. The options are endless for both game and coarse anglers. The many lakes, rivers, forest trails, bogs and wetland, wildlife and nature, forts, mass rocks and dolmens make it a unique landscape and especially appealing to photographers, birdlovers and those tourists with an interest in history.

The area attracts visitors from Germany, France, Italy and Holland as well as visitors from Northern Ireland. Cashelard is the ancestral home of Tony Blair, The former British Prime Minister. His grandfather George Corscaden was a native of Cashelard. As a youngster Tony Blair discovered the attractions of Cashelard and the surrounding countryside.

Entertainment in Cashelard centres on the local pub! It is a venue for traditional Irish music most nights of the week in the summer months. In and around Cashelard there is a range of accommodation available. Local guides can also be arranged to help you make the most of your visit to the area.
